He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Oppel, Jr. and Priscilla Oppel Kunesch (Barmmer). He is survived by: his wife Monique Oppel (Genest); his children, Jacob Peck (Megan) and Heather DeSimone (Olimpia); his siblings, Win Oppel (Patty), Ray Oppel (Debbie), Marie Corriveau, Arthur Oppel and Clinton Oppel; and his grandchildren, Evelyn, Catalina Celine and Matteo John. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home (390 River Rd, Shelton, CT 06484). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Huntington Congregational Church (19 Church St, Shelton, CT 06484).
