He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Schoonmaker and Alta Schoonmaker (Bierce). He is survived by: his wife Sally Schoonmaker (Gustafson); his daughters, Lynn Sindland (Lee) of Lead Hill and Deb Pikiell (Tim) of Bristol, Connecticut.; his grandchildren, Ozzie, Tommy, Betsy, Katie, George, Lucy, Maddie, Joey and Julia; and his siblings, Ann, Gary, Gail, Jan and Tim. He is also survived by his eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Stepney Baptist Church (423 Main St, Monroe, CT 06468).
