He was predeceased by: his parents, David McCarthy and Grace Spargo McCarthy; his children, Claire and Daniel; the parent of his children Joanita Hoehn McCarthy; and his siblings, Martha Nichols, Helen Wallace, Thomas and David.
He is survived by: his children, Mark, Timothy, Maryhelen and Catherine; and his grandsons, Patrick McCarthy, Dennis DePalmer, Jake McGinley, Alex and Kenneth McCarthy.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hennessy Funeral Directors (4 Gorham Pl, Trumbull, CT 06611). A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Assumption Church (545 Stratfield Rd, Fairfield, CT 06825). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lawncroft Cemetery (1740 Black Rock Tpke, Fairfield, CT 06825).
