He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanore Roscoe Matera; his parents, James Matera and Annette Matera; his brothers, Jim Matera and John Matera; and his brother-in-law Guido Bonvicini.

He is survived by: his children, Greg (Darlene Matera) of Bridgeport, CT, Laura and Debbie Matera of Monroe, CT; his granddaughter Lindsay Matera; his sister Carol Matera Bonvicini; and his siblings-in-law, Josephine Matera, Mary Matera, Wesley Roscoe (Laura) and Gary Roscoe (Debbie). He is also survived by several Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces & Nephews.
