He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo H Plourde and Arthemise Plourde (Daigneault); his wife Anna Margaret "Peg" Ashton; and his sister Jean Cardinal. He is survived by: his children, Ann Jennings (David), Lauren Anderson and Peter (Lynn). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren.
He raised and trained black lab retrievers and competed with them in field trials all over the US & Canada up until the Covid pandemic.
