She was predeceased by : her parents, Paul Eaton and Leona Eaton; and her fiancé Lloyd H. "Fletch" Thompson. She is survived by : her sister Joyce Steis of Ridgway, Pennsylvania; her children, Marianne E. Trehern of Myrtle Beach, Raymond J. Freemer, Jr. of New London and Michael Freemer of Portland, Maine; her grandchildren, Courtney, Amanda and Jacob; and her great grandchildren, Kaylee, Olivia, Elijah, Weston, Emmie and Riley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your local library to honor Linda's lifelong love of books.
