She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Gowac and Anna Gowac (Stankowski); her husband Walter J. Parkus, Sr.; her siblings, John, Stanley, Joseph, Edward, Josephine Buchheit, Sophie Comeau, Stacia Shea, Catherine Paulter, Viola Kalinowski, Caroline Drenga, Henrietta Gowac and Victoria Golub; and her son-in-law Roger Clark.

She is survived by: her children, Diane Clark of Belsano, PA, Nancy Smith (Ed) of Venice, FL, Mary Jane Malavasi (Ernie) of East Haddam and Walter J. Parkus, Jr. (Chris) of Moodus; and her grandchildren, Richard Clark, Deborah Rose, Robin Hershberger, Paul Parkus, Jamie Kiely, Edward Smith IV, Eric Smith, Peter Plude, Jr. and Joseph Plude. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
