With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Golec of Moodus, Connecticut, who passed away on January 4, 2026 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Walter leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Katherine Budney Golec. He is survived by: his wife Josephine Barry; his daughters, Sharon Keniger (Roland) of Paris, France and Kathleen Golec of Moodus; and his grandson Daniel Keniger (Anna) of Paris.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the East Haddam VFW Post 3336 or to the East Haddam Senior Center.
