It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Beatrice Paterson of Mystic, Connecticut, who passed away on November 21, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Paterson and Maud Paterson (Dyer); her sibling Thomas Paterson; and her grandson Jason Straub. She is survived by: her sisters, Marguerite Paterson (Hamre) and Betty Paterson (Morris); her children, Eric Straub (Johanna) of Niantic, Elizabeth Murphy of Waterford, Donna Brochu (Michael) of Lisbon and Brian Straub (Kate) of Mystic; and her grandchildren, Noah, Ian, Carly, John, Sarah, Ryan, Tina and Rachael. She is also survived by nephews, nieces and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Byles-Groton Memorial (310 Thames St, Groton, CT 06340). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
