With solemn reverence, we commemorate Catherine T. Benedict of Mystic, Connecticut, whose life came to an end on August 7, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving behind cherished memories. She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Houton and Mary Houton (Toland); her son Joseph Jr.; and her siblings, Thomas, Daniel, Charles, Anna and Patricia.
She is survived by: her sons, Mark and Matthew; her husband Joseph; her siblings, John Houton of Quincy, MA and Roseleen Pyne of Milford, MA; her grandchildren, Mark, Isabella, Katie and Lauren; and also Miriam O. S. B.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Church (32 E Main St, Mystic, CT 06355).
