He was predeceased by : his parents, Milton S. Carstens and Julia Hahn Carstens; and his children, Lucie Carstens Daly and Willett Noble Carstens. He is survived by : his siblings, Nancy and Mike; his wife Dale Gorham Carstens; his children, Julie Kamis (Skip) and Virgil Carstens (Debo Katz); his grandchildren, Meredith Gelineau (Scott), Julia Gardner (Christopher), Genna Daly, Lila Daly (Georgios Sdonas) and Thomas Daly; and his great grandchildren, Grace and Oliver Gardner.
