We are sad to announce that on July 20, 2023, at the age of 79, John Pierre Plankeel of Mystic, Connecticut, born in Oak Park, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Frederik Jan and Anjean Dykstra Plankeel; his spouse Donalyne Elise Fales of Mystic, CT.; his children, John Frederik (Julie) of Lynchburg, VA, Julie Beth (Gregory Duba) of Stonington, CT and Jeffrey Donald (Renee) of Colorado Springs, CO; and his grandchildren, Kelsey, Rebecca, Sarah, Haley, Siobhan, Karis, Lela and Samuel.
