Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Firmino Alves Teixeira (Naugatuck, Connecticut), who passed away at the age of 93, on July 29, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Albertino Alves Teixeira and Miquelina (Costa Rego); and his siblings, Francisco Alves Teixeira, Antonio Alves Teixeira, Maria, Dores Vilarinho (Alves Teixeira) and Luis Alves Teixeira.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Alcina Teixeira (Rego); his children, Jorge Teixeira, Jose Teixeira (Manju Shukla Teixeira), Cina Teixeira Santos and Miquelina DaSilva (Aires DaSilva); and his grandchildren, Michael Santos, Stephanie Dos Santos (Carlos Dos Santos), Narayan Teixeira and Amani Teixeira. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial - Fitzgerald Zembruski (240 N Main St, Naugatuck, CT 06770). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Church (2071 Baldwin St, Waterbury, CT 06706). A burial will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at the St. James Cemetery (249 Cross St, Naugatuck, CT 06770).
