With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herbert Hughes III of Naugatuck, Connecticut, born in Waterbury, Connecticut, who passed away on January 10, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert and Gertrude Hughes Jr. (Golden); his brother Howard Hughes; and his stepdaughter Kathy Sigetti. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Hughes (Lamoureux); his children, Robert Hughes, Debrah (Hughes), Recchioni (Joseph), David Hughes (Debra), Gary Hughes (Michelle) and Bert Hughes (Heather); his stepson Dennis Sigetti (Melissa); and his brother Glenn Hughes. He is also survived by his 19 grandchildren; his 3 great grandchildren, several in-laws as well as nieces and nephews and many friends and extended family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Harold Leever Cancer Center, 1075 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT 06708.
