He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Grant and Joyce Grant (Goodale); and his siblings, Dottie Descouteux and Robert Grant. He is survived by: his wife Mary (Drown) of Mary's Hospital; his children, Tammy L. Grant and James Edward Grant, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Carolyn Grant; his grandchildren, James Edward Grant, III, Matthew Joseph Grant, Aaron Fitzpatrick and Samantha Fitzpatrick; his sister Terrie Hildreth; and his brother-in-law John Hildreth. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home (82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck, CT 06770). A prayer was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 6:45 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
