In the vast expanse of eternity, Janet shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Janet farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband Henry J. Cabral; her parents, Walter J. Stankiewicz Sr. and Marie Stankiewicz (Dupre); and her brother Walter J. Stankiewicz Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Shirley Drost of Naugatuck, Michael Cabral of Naugatuck and Stephen Cabral of Plano, Texas.. She is also survived by several in-laws, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home (82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck, CT 06770). A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
