He was predeceased by: his parents, João Chipelo and Carolina Chipelo; and his brothers, Antonio Chipelo and Alfredo Chipelo. He is survived by: his wife Maria "Connie" Chipelo; his daughter Karla McClain (Scott); his grandchildren, Lori and Hunter of Cromwell, CT; his son John M. Chipelo (Christie); his grandchildren, Juliana, Olivia and Luke of Southington, CT; his sister Maria; his brother-in-law Jose Vieira of St. Augustine, FL; his brother Jose; his sisters-in-law, Kathy Chipelo of Torrington, CT, Rosa Chipelo and Ligia Chipelo of Naugatuck, CT.; and his caregiver Allison. He is also survived by sisters in law, brothers in law and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
