He was predeceased by: his wife Dianne Santos (Bird); his parents, Antonio Santos and Belmira Santos (Rodrigues); his son Nelson "Rod" Santos, Jr.; and his brother Antonio Santos.
He is survived by: his children, Tina Santos (Kevin Sullivan) of Peabody, MA, Jay Santos (Anne) of Mansfield, MA and Cathy Lanoie (Jason) of Watertown; his brother Victor Santos (Laura Reilly) of Naugatuck; his grandchildren, Ross, Nicholas (Marisa), Rebecca, Isabelle, Ailinn and Emily; and his great grandchild Abigail.
