We are sad to announce that on June 15, 2020, at the age of 88, Richard Tavares of Naugatuck, Connecticut, born in Waterbury, Connecticut passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard Tavares to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel J. Tavares and Miquelina Tavares (Pavao); and his sister Eleanor Paolino. He is survived by: his wife Maria Tavares (Fidalgo); his children, Richard Tavares (Dawn), Manny Tavares (Pam) and Donna Saleh (Rifat); his grandchildren, Danielle, Richie Lee, Desiree, David, Matthew Tavares, Dr. Farrah and Amber Saleh; his great grandchildren, Mariah, Madison and Raelynn; his brother Edward Tavares; and his pet Little Ricky. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers and to honor Richard's memory, contributions may be made to Operation Smile, 3641 Faculty Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23453.
