He was predeceased by : his parents, James McCarthy and Helen McCarthy; his wife Joan McCarthy; and his brother Eugene (Joan).

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Grove Cemetery (1 Cross St, Naugatuck, CT 06770).

In keeping with Bill's kindhearted nature, the family requests that charitable donations be made to the ASPCA in lieu of flowers, as a tribute to Bill's lifelong love for animals.
