She was predeceased by: her parents, Joaquin Saavedra and Antonia Arroyo; and her siblings, Jeronimo Saavedra, Alejandro Saavedra, Efrain Saavedra, Joaquin Saavedra, Matea Santiago and Carmen J. Arroyo.
She is survived by: her husband Jose A. Rivera of New Britain, CT; her children, Wilfredo Rivera and Luz S. Rivera of New Britain; and her siblings, Luis A. Saavedra of Puerto Rico, Ramona Cruz of New Britain, Maria S. Santos of New Britain and Maria D. Ayala of New Britain. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home (411 S Main St, New Britain, CT 06051). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, January 28th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Of St. Joachim Parish (544 S Main St, New Britain, CT 06051). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 28th 2026 at the St. Mary Cemetery (1141 Stanley St, New Britain, CT 06051).
