It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alan J. Desmarais of New Britain, Connecticut, who passed away on December 9, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his siblings, Jeanne Ward, Stuart Desmarais and Richard Desmarais. He is survived by : his wife Joan Desmarais (Carey); his children, Matthew Desmarais (Laura Bondi), Carey Campbell (Grant Campbell) and Andrew Desmarais (Lexie Tseng); his grandchildren, Zoey Campbell, Garrett Campbell and Emaline Desmarais; his sisters, Jo-Ann McCann (Bill) and Diane Ullman (Pete); and his sisters-in-law, Roisin Desmarais (Stuart) and Terri Desmarais (Richard). He is also survived by several cousins, and 15 nieces and nephews, their spouses, children, and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Oak Hill, MARC of Manchester, Michael J Fox Parkinson's Foundation, or a charity of personal significance.
