He is survived by: his wife Paula Aponte (Rosario); his children, Alexander Jr. (Maria Carmen Almaguer), Sondra Aponte-Garcia (Nelson Casillas) and Awilda Johnson (Ken); and his grandchildren, AmandaLee Aponte (Jonathan Stroh) of Manchester, Alexander Aponte III (Kristina) of West Hartford, William Johnson of Hartford, Marisa Johnson of St. Augustine, FL and Elliot Garcia (Krista DeTulio) of New Britain.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home (411 S Main St, New Britain, CT 06051). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church (544 S Main St, New Britain, CT 06051). An entombment will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Mary Cemetery (1309 Stanley St, New Britain, CT 06051).
