He was predeceased by: his father Attorney James R. Murphy; and his brother Corporal James R. Murphy Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Louise Murphy (Hebing); and his sister Kathleen A. Murphy. He is also survived by extended family, close neighbors, and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Farrell Funeral Home (110 Franklin Square, New Britain, CT 06051). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Maurice Church (100 Wightman Rd, New Britain, CT 06052).
