He was predeceased by: his parents, Tadeusz Lis and Marianna Lis (Gadomska); his son Andrzej Lis; his sister Aleksandra (Antoni Pianka); and his brother-in-law Czeslaw Jaksina.
He is survived by: his daughters, Bożena Samsel (Eugeniusz) of Farmington, CT and Anna DeFranco (Anthony) of Berlin, CT; his grandsons, Anthony and Nathan DeFranco of Berlin, CT; and his sister Zofia Jaksina.
