He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Plocharczyk and Sophie Plocharczyk (Marszalek); and his niece Lisa Plocharczyk. He is survived by : his siblings, Thomas Plocharczyk (Janet) of Southington and Lorraine Kaufman of South Glastonbury; his nephew Thomas Plocharczyk, Jr.; and his niece Sandi Dowsett (Jake).

The lying in state was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Church (158 Broad St, New Britain, CT 06053). A Mass was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Cemetery (662 Burritt St, New Britain, CT 06053).
