He is survived by: his brother Derrick Sr.; his sister-in-law Regina Villard of Cromwell; his siblings, Martin Reed Washington of Newington, Felicia Clark Villard (Gilberto Mercado, Jr.) of New Britain, Leona "Rosie" Villard of Plainville, Dawn Clark of East Hartford and Carmen Washington of Austin, TX.; and his siblings' children, Derrick Jr., Mya, Gilberto III, Devon, Malik, Tariq, Akil, Robert and Xavion.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Redeemers AME Zion Church (110 Whiting St, Plainville, CT 06062). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Redeemer's A. M. E. Zion Church (110 Whiting St, Plainville, CT 06062).
