He was predeceased by: his parents, Tadeusz Zdon and Leokadia Zdon (Juzwik). He is survived by: his sister Lorraine Nadeau (Thomas) of Southington; his nieces, Shayna Nadeau and Jacqueline Nadeau; and his nephew Dillon Nadeau.

“My cousin Jake has been here my whole life. My earliest memory of him was when I was 7 or 8. We were toasting marshmallows in my back yard. My foot caught on fire and Jake was the only one who acted and put it out. We had some great times when we were younger. He had a great heart, would give you the shirt off his back, and laugh while doing it. I haven't seen him in years but will miss him.”

“I was so sad to hear about Jacob’s passing. Although I had not seen him in years I have fond memories of when we were children visiting my grandparents Anna and Harry Jacunski (Jacob’s aunt and uncle.) Jake was a couple of years older but was always willing to play with the younger kids. I know from my brother Peter that Jake struggled with substance use disorder later in life, which to me was very sad since he was at heart a good person. “I also just wanted to acknowledge Jake’s sister Loraine and brother-in-law Tommy for everything they did over the years to try to help Jake. I am so sorry for your loss, not only for Jacob himself but also for the loss of the chance for him to overcome his illness and have a better relationship with you. There is so much to grieve for in a case like this. -Hope”
