He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Allen and Helen Louise Allen (Whipple); his son Michael Kenneth Allen; and his siblings, Annie Jean Edney (Allen), Kenneth Allen, Helen Allen, Jimmy Brown of New Britain and Delores Allen of Hartford.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sheila B. Allen and Natasha S. McMillian (Jarrod McMillian); his grandchildren, Jamie N. Allen, Kamau Hightower, Korahn C. Hightower, Damien J. Brown, Tyrese J. Love and Kylie J. Brown; and his siblings, Elizabeth Allen of New Britain, Annie Ruth (Johnnie Hill) of New Britain, Inez, Harold Allen and Diane (William H. Seymour, Jr.) of New Britain. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
