He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Kochanowski and Catherine Kochanowski (Barnak); and his siblings, Mary Kerelejza, Ann Belonick, Alice Andrusia, Helen Kochanowski, Elizabeth Fenton, Joseph, Lester and Andrew.
He is survived by: his brother-in-law Steve; his cousin Steven Melnyk; and his caregivers, Olga, Nadia and Olena. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church (54 Winter St, New Britain, CT 06053). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 9:00 AM at the St. Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church (54 Winter St, New Britain, CT 06053).
Donations made in his memory can be made to St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church and will, per his wishes, unless otherwise specified, be used to support the education and activities of the church alter boys.
