He is survived by: his children, Derek Wilson, Latasha Mack (Ronald), Alicia Aponte and Luis Aponte Jr. (Vilmarie); his siblings, Jose Aponte, Angel Aponte Jr. (Robin), Rosamaria Guadarrama Merced (Jose) and Rosalina Guadarrama (Will); his close friend Tonya Gardner; and his grandchildren, Zachary, Raquasia and Amahri. He is also survived by extended family, friends, and a host of nieces and nephews.
