He was predeceased by: his brother Steven Sapko. He is survived by: his parents, Frank Sapko and Katherine Sapko (Malarney); his siblings, Sharon (Steven Byrne), Sandra (Robert Whinnem) and Michael J. Sapko (Carole Stankoski); and his siblings' children, Nicole Byrne, Katelyn Byrne, Emily Byrne and Brian Samuel Whinnem.
