Muriel V.P. Sanders Obituary
Muriel V.P. Sanders, beloved wife of the late James R. Sanders Jr., passed away peacefully at New Britain Hospital on January 10, 2026, with family at her side. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on January 13, 1945.
She loved to travel and go to the gym – her happy place! Before she retired, she was a Radiology Department secretary for Norwalk Hospital. During retirement, she truly enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her 3 children: Brian Sanders, James Sanders III (Juanita Dee) and Jean Sanders as well as her sister, Mary Azzaro of Baltimore MD. She also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren: James IV, Stephanie, Kaitlyn and David as well as three great grandchildren: Georgianna, Levi and Valley and many nieces, nephews, friends and people she considered family.
A Graveside service will be held on Friday January 23rd at 1PM at Riverside Cemetery 81 Riverside Ave. Norwalk, CT. In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to your favorite animal charity in her name.
