She was predeceased by : her husband Paul J. Ohanian; her son John P. Ohanian; her parents, Peter Mooradian and Mary Mooradian (Hovsepian) of New Britain, CT; her brothers, Charles Mooradian and Oscar Moradian; and her siblings-in-law, Violet Mooradian, Margaret, Sarah Kalajian, Peter Kalajian, Harry Ohanian and Sarkis Surabian.

She is survived by : her grandchildren, Deanna, Aram, Justin, Jordan, Meghan, Michael and Ben; her great grandchildren, Yenok, Michael Jr., Olivia, Chloe, Karina, Mariam and Hudson; her sister Margaret Maroun; her siblings-in-law, Mike Maroun and Elizabeth Surabian; and her close friend Rose Hovanesian Mosey. She is also survived by her family and friends.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Sonia's memory to the Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection.
