It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Sobotkin of New Fairfield, Connecticut, who passed away on May 26, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Michael departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Michael may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Michael leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Sobotkin and Myrna Sobotkin (Kimmel). He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Sobotkin (Madoff); his daughter Amy Sobotkin Gare; his son-in-law Marc Gare; and his granddaughter Lindsay Gare.
