She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Althen and Clara Althen (Oldroyd); and her brother Mark Althen. She is survived by: her husband Wally; her children, Eric Smith (Kristen) of Barkhamsted, Molly Herbert (Ronald) and Anthony "Tony" Truss (Susan) of Hartland; and her siblings, Bob Althen (Maggie), Bruce Althen of Granby, David Althen (Debbie) of Windsor Locks, Gary Althen (Debbie) of Windsor Locks and Barbara Jean "BJ" Althen of Norwich. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.
