Edith T. Van Allen Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edith T. Van Allen (New Hartford, Connecticut), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 21, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William Van Allen; her parents, Frederick Tubman and Margaret Tubman (Denton); and her brother Kenneth Tubman. She is survived by: her sons, Derek Van Allen (Tammy) of North Granby and Warren Van Allen (Erin) of Ridgecrest, CA; her grandchildren, Andrew, Nathan, Graham, Megan and Chase; her brother Harry Tubman (Ticia) of Pleasant Valley; and her nephews, Erik and William Tubman.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to FAVARH, helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities live as independently as possible, where Edie had volunteered for 11 years.
