Loretta W. Mele Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Loretta W. Mele (New Hartford, Connecticut), who passed away on March 5, 2023 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband Ronald Mele; her daughters, Laura Chadwick (Chris), Joanne Reynolds (Jason) and Bridget Criss; her grandchildren, Margaux, John, Mary McGinty, Caden, Clara, Chase Reynolds, Dominic, Logan Criss, Tess, Rich, Amy and Rebecca Chadwick; her great grandchildren, Evelyn and Jude; her parents, John Whelan and Connie Whelan; and her siblings, Joan McEvoy and William "Bill" Whelan.
In lieu of flowers, please call a friend you haven't spoken to in awhile to tell them you love them, take a walk to enjoy the splendor of God's creation, or do something nice to make a stranger's day. If those options are too difficult, please consider a donation to: Tunnels to Towers Foundation (t2t.org), Our Lady of Hope Parish (osvhub.com), or to the National Organization for Rare Disorders (rarediseases.org) to raise awareness of mesenchymal hamartoma in adults, which is just as unique and rare as her.
