Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Nora Garrahy Cavanaugh of New Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away at the age of 89, on July 3, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Patrick Joseph and Catherine Garrahy (O'Connor); her brothers, Thomas (Patricia Garrahy) and Edward (Elaine Garrahy); and her niece Annemarie Garrahy.
She is survived by: her sons, Reverend Kevin P. Cavanaugh of New Hartford and Brian Cavanaugh (Catherine) of New Hartford; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Patrick, Colleen and Bridget; her son Tom Cavanaugh (Ana) of Canton; her grandchildren, Michael, Andrew and Juliana; and her friends, Georgia and Danny Cahill. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Montano Shea Funeral Home (5 Steele Rd, New Hartford, CT 06059). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (3 Church St N, New Hartford, CT 06059).
