She is survived by : her husband Thomas "Tom" "Bob" Henry Veale, Jr.; her children, Tomi Marie Veale of New Haven, CT and Torrance Cogswell (West Haven); her grandchildren, Torrance Cogswell Jr., Malik Douglas, Torre Cogswell and Torrell Cogswell; her great grandchildren, Za'Ayhyr and Leila Cogswell; her siblings, Charles Pate of Camden, SC, Mary Williams (Odell) of Hemingway, SC, Alberta Jones (Curtis) of West Haven, CT and Willie Brown (Norma) of Rineyville, Kentucky; her mother-in-law Penary B. Veale; her cousin Annie "Pee Wee" Pate; her daughter Mildred Cannon; her friend Ruth Brooks-Douglas; and her siblings-in-law, Teresa, Iris, Willie, Daphne, Michelle and Dennis. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of relatives and friends.
