He is survived by: his father Lenwood Phillips, Jr. of Colonial Heights; his stepmother Albertha Phillips of New Haven, Connecticut; his daughter Anaysha Murphy; his granddaughters, Brooklyn Gaskin of New Haven, Connecticut. and Harmony Murphy of New Haven, Connecticut.; his siblings, Edward Phillips Sr. (Arnita) of Greenville, Travis Phillips of Meriden, Tre'Shawn Phillips (Sarah) of Milford, Connecticut, Toljiana Smith (James) of Baltimore and Tenerah Phillips of Hamden, Connecticut.; his aunts and uncles, Joe Louis Lyons of Poughkeepsie, Michael' of New York, Angelene Pittman of Hamden, Connecticut and Selma Brown (Horace) of Hamden, Connecticut; his great-aunt Geneva Pittman of New Haven, Connecticut.; and his close friend Patricia McGill. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the McClam Funeral Home Chapel (95 Dixwell Ave, New Haven, CT 06511). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
