He is survived by: his son Robert Smith (Dawn) of Norwich; his granddaughter Carolyn Bavedas (Frank); his great grandchildren, Connor, Nora, Anthony, Robert and Ryan; his nephews, Mark Cunha, Albert Cunha and Joey Cunha; and his niece Maria Cunha.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (43 Kirkham Ave, East Haven, CT 06512). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (80 Taylor Ave, East Haven, CT 06512).
