He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Hessler and Stanley Trotman; his sister Elizabeth Davis; and his stepmother Barbara Trotman. He is survived by: his wife Kate Trotman; his children, Hilary Garland (Charlie Garland), Phil (Emily Eden) and Eleanor Barnett (Chris Barnett); his grandchildren, Ellie, Charlie Garland, Allie, Julia Trotman, Robbie and Wes Barnett; and his brother Stanley Trotman, Jr. (Susan Trotman).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Battell Chapel at Yale University (400 College St, New Haven, CT 06511).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to the Key Biscayne Community Foundation (240 Crandon Blvd, #108, Key Biscayne, FL 33149).
