He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Jones and Jessie Gary; and his brother Bobby Barnes. He is survived by: his wife Sheila L. Gary; his stepfather Daniel Barnes, Sr.; his stepchildren, Antwuan Jones and Shenyka Jones; and his siblings, Daniel Barnes, Jr., Reggie Barnes, Patrick Barnes (Yolanda), Frances Gary, Dorothy Johnson (Richard), Jessie Jackson (Kenny), Barbara Barnes, Felicia Barnes and Patricia Barnes. He is also survived by five grandchildren; four bonus grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Grace Worship Center Church (750 Wethersfield Ave, Hartford, CT 06114). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Beaverdale Memorial Park (90 Pine Rock Ave, New Haven, CT 06515).
