He is survived by: his wife Mamie Smith-Taylor of New Haven; his children, Andrea Taylor of Grayson, Georgia, Taekwon Taylor of New Haven, Malcolm Lytell of Quinton, Maryland and Deya Smith-Taylor (Verlin) of Dallas, Texas.; his sister Yvonne Anderson of New Haven; his grandchildren, Dwayne Lee of New Haven, Taekwon Burdell Taylor Jr. of New Haven, Myasia Lytell of New Haven and Katori Cirasuolo of West Haven, Connecticut.; his great grandchild Deleon Lee of Hamden; his godchildren, Mark Johnson (Rashira) of Gilbertsville, Frederic Morris of New Haven, CT. and Siani Dream Morris of New Haven, CT.; and his nieces, Tiffany Dean, Michelle Taylor, Cynthia Davis and Penny Taylor.
A burial will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Matthew's Ufwb Church (400 Dixwell Ave, New Haven, CT 06511). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
