She was predeceased by: her parents, Courtland Fenderson Handy, Sr. and Edwina J. Manning Handy; her husband Arthur "Knobby" Boyd; her brother Bruce W. Handy; and her siblings-in-law, Debra A. Handy, Sandra Boyd and Alfonso Vaughn Sr..
She is survived by: her stepdaughter Leitha Lilly of Philadelphia, PA; her siblings, Edwina Collins-Vaughn of East Haven, CT and Courtland Fenderson Handy, Jr. (Patricia) of East Haven, CT; her sister-in-law Everlena Handy of East Haven, CT; her brother John Bennett of West Haven, CT.; and her siblings-in-law, Irma Hinton of Washington, DC, Gloria Jean Richardson of Hamden, Martha Ann Wilson of New Haven, Alice Jean, Rhonda, Diane Morris of New Jersey and Willie Boyd of Hamden. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
