It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dawn Michele Black of New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Ralph Black and Fannie Black (Snipes). She is survived by : her children, Charlene Johnson of Richmond and Larry Johnson of New Haven, CT; her grandchildren, Shamar, Andre, Larry Jr. and Colbi; her siblings, Cheryl Black, Lisa Black of Orlando, Pamela Lyn (David) of Charleston, SC and Ralph Black; and her close friend Kim. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Howard K. Hill Funeral Services - New Haven (1287 Chapel St, New Haven, CT 06511). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
