She was predeceased by: her parents, Norwood Gilliard and Mattie Brown Gilliard; her son Ferrante Gilliard (Kim); her siblings, John S. Gilliard, William Gilliard (Bo) and Cynthia Gilliard Flowers; and her nephew Ephraim Gilliard.
She is survived by: her son Michael Gilliard (Gwendolyn) of Florence, SC; her siblings, James "Slim" Gilliard (Carleta) of Hemingway, SC and Joyce D. Leach (Kenneth) of Virginia Beach, VA; her siblings' children, Christopher Leach, Tyrone Gilliard, Evan Gilliard, Emanuel Gilliard and Danyell Flowers; her great-niece LaRae Gilliard; her grandsons, Da'Wan of Washington, Derrick Pasley and Cory Bishop, Sr.; and her great grandchild Cory Bishop Jr.. She is also survived by cousins and loyal friends.
