He was predeceased by: his parent Margaret Emery; his brother Booker; and his former wife Velma Emery. He is survived by: his wife Sonja Emery (Massachusetts); his daughter Iris Emery of New Haven, CT; his grandchildren, Morris Emery of New Haven, CT and Khadijia Gatison (James) of Hamden, CT; and his great grandchild Skye Gadson of West Haven, CT. He is also survived by her one child, his siblings, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Zion Seventh Day Adventist Church (335 Putnam Ave, Hamden, CT 06517).
