Ian Isdale Obituary

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Ian Isdale of New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away at the age of 93, on February 5, 2021. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father John Skinner Isdale; his children, John Isdale (Jolene) of Newtown, CT, Gerald Isdale of Haiku and Holly Isdale of Hawley, PA; and his grandchildren, Abby Ryan, Jack Ryan, Eddy Isdale, Brian Isdale, Justin Durelli (Paty), Jennifer Durelli and Hayley Isdale. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

We offer our sincere thanks to the many friends who visited or called Ian during the COVID lockdown and his illness, his doctors and nurses at Yale New Haven Oncology and at Connecticut Hospice were without peer in his journey.

In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Orange Congregational Church Nursery School.

“My deepest condolences on the loss of your dad. He was a good man! Your father meant a great deal to me! He was so much more than a landlord. He was someone I looked up to as an old New Englander - all the skills and abilities he had into his 90s. I was so impressed with him. And we always had such lovely chats. It was fun when he came to visit the house in Ashfield and see him brush-hogging paths.”
